This wine estate is located in the surroundings of Aldeia Galega and it spreads over the sunny hills’ of Alenquer, a Delimited Region in the northwest of Lisboa. Its historical and excellent vineyards are known since the 16th century and have belonged to Diogo Duff, a brave Scottish man who received the "Tower and Sword" insignia, given by King João VI. Alice and Paulo Tavares da Silva bought the estate in the 1980s and made significant investments in its 45ha of vineyard. The introduction of new cultivation methods has allowed the family to consolidate the quality and reputation of their wines.
 
In an accompanied visit, you can get to know the wine making technology and methods used in the Quinta to produce their elegant wines, learning every step of the wine process. After understand how the wines are produced, see for yourself how they are stored during the ageing process that gives them some of their most typical characteristic. Follows a private and lectured wine tasting, lectured by the responsible for the oenology department, Sandra Tavares da Silva, the daughter of the owners, or by the resident oenologist, so you can confirm the high quality of their product. Sandra is making wines in both Estremadura and the Douro, which necessitates travelling between the two regions three times a week. Since then her day job has been as winemaker for Christiano Van Zeller at Quinta do Vale D. Maria in the Douro. Upon arrival at the estate, you will be welcomed by the master rider at the Riding Hall and you will have the opportunity to ride a Lusitano Stallion for a classical dressage lesson.

Not far from Funchal hidden in between high mountains and deep valleys lie remote villages and hamlets such as Jardim da Serra with its splendid view over the Nuns valley.
 
Next stop will be Campanário, a verdant town with a splendid view over the sea. This town owes its name to an islet, similar to the bell tower of a church, which is situated along the coast.

New York City: SoHo

Like most of the developing city in the early years, SoHo (which stands for South of Houston Street – and by the way, it’s pronounced How-ston) started as a small village.  Over time, the neighborhood went from the wealthiest, to the most industrial, to a slum called “Hell’s 100 acres.”  Now it is back to trendy again.  SoHo is one of the most stylish neighborhoods in New York City, with clues of its past around every corner.  Several of its cast iron buildings built in the mid-1800s still stand.  As you explore the area, you will get the feel of its many cobblestone streets.  When artists arrived in SoHo in the 1970s, they began the revival of the neighborhood.  You’ll visit two of SoHo’s famed art galleries, including the Earth Room.  Next to SoHo is NoLIta – which is Northern Little Italy.  The area is home to the old St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  One story in particular your guide will impart is the 1799 murder of Elma Sands, the “Ghost of Spring Street.”
